My name is Stephen A and I am a male home carer with a passion for helping others lead independent lives. With over 5 years of experience in the field, I have worked with clients who suffer from a variety of conditions such as Anxiety, Osteoporosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), and Heart Disease. I specialize in hourly care, providing support and assistance to individuals in their own homes.
Although I cannot drive and do not own a car, I excel in providing personal care services such as bathing, toileting, assistance with dressing, catheter care, and companionship. I firmly believe that a strong relationship founded on trust and empathy is essential between a carer and client. I pride myself on my caring, friendly, and helpful nature, and always strive to create a warm and comfortable environment for those in my care.
Outside of work, I enjoy walking, completing puzzles, socializing with friends and family, playing board games, and indulging in the occasional video game. I am a dog lover and have a soft spot for these furry companions. Their presence brings joy and comfort to my clients and I always encourage their involvement in the care routine whenever appropriate.
My motivation for pursuing a career in caring stems from the rewarding feeling of making a positive impact on someone's life. I firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to lead an independent and fulfilling life, regardless of their condition.
